Drought is leaving but prices stay on rise
The Yangtze River Basin has suffered from drought since the beginning of 2011. The paddy production is a little affected. Early paddy planting area in Hubei and Anhui provinces declined. Unit yield in the dry areas would reduce by 2%-5% compared to normal level. Driven by corn, egg price rise 10% in one month
Compared with 20th April, domestic average egg price increased 9.8% in 28th May. The specialists point fingers to rising feed cost not the shortage of supply.
